Would you like to meet with other mediators who work with young people and their parents or carers, to share experiences and learning? Would you like to know about a tool that you can use when working with young people and families in conflict?

Come along to a practitioners’ forum on Thursday 20th August, from 10.30am to 3.30pm at Relationships Scotland, 18 York Place, Edinburgh.

This event will be an opportunity to share and learn from other mediators about what works and how to overcome some of the challenges of mediating with young people and families in conflict. You will be introduced to a tool that can be used to help people to identify their unmet needs, which may be the cause of their conflict. This tool can also help people to identify their strengths to enable them to develop strategies to ensure their needs are met, and to manage their conflict more effectively.

The day will be interactive and you are asked to come prepared to share from your own experiences of mediating in this area. The day will be facilitated by Rosanne Cubitt, Head of Professional Practice for mediation at Relationships Scotland. The in8 cards resource will be introduced by Marion Brown, a freelance workplace mediator and conflict practitioner.

The cost of the event is £45 and a light lunch will be provided. If you would like to participate in this event, please contact Diana Reilly before 30th July on diana.reilly@relationships-scotland.org.uk for a copy of our booking form.
