Emotions can run high after a breakup, making it hard to discuss plans for your children’s future with your ex-partner. We can help you to have the difficult conversations.
Family mediation services support parents, grandparents and other significant adults in the children's lives through family change and disruption as a result of separation, divorce or family restructuring. Mediation services are located in all parts of mainland and island Scotland.
The aim of mediation is to agree on practical, workable arrangements for the future, taking into account children’s views, needs and feelings. Our focus is on putting children’s needs first and on making separation less stressful for everyone.
We can also offer parents the opportunity to attend Parenting Apart Sessions to find out how to handle the challenges of living apart in a way that's best for everyone, including how to communicate more effectively. These sessions provide information and insights on what to consider when making arrangements for your children, as well as an opportunity to talk. Parenting Apart sessions are generally run with a group of mums and dads. Individual sessions might also be available. Find out more
