This is a special guest post by Relationships Scotland volunteer Janis McCulloch.
Halloween was one of my favourite times of year as a child. It meant making costumes with my mum and dooking for apples at the school party. I remember my mum making me an amazing Little Red Riding Hood costume out of crepe paper; I think that’s partly why I still lovely fancy dress to this day.
All family activities can be expensive these days, but the fab folks at Play Talk Read have some great ideas for Halloween. We’d love to see what you’re getting up to. Are you turning your children into mummies by wrapping them in toilet paper? Are you turning mandarins into mini pumpkins by drawing faces on with felt tips?
Whatever it is we’d love you to share it with us. Over the next few days we will be putting our pictures onto Instagram and tagging them #Spooktacular. It’s easy to join in, simply tag your creative picture #Spooktacular. You can also find our profile by searching for RelScot.
